A very rare Alexander Tetradrachm issued under Attalos I of Pergamon

KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.69 g, 12 h), Pergamon. Struck under Attalos I, circa 215-200. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; in field to left, coiled serpent right and monogram. Price 1490. Very rare. Numerous small marks and with minor traces of corrosion on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
